COFFEE WITH A COP! 5/16/2012 10am

TamiMarshall : February 6, 2012 6:20 pm : Coffee News, Store news

Many times people have questions about a law related subject and would like to ask a police officer, but never seem to find the “right” time.

In an effort to reach out to the community, Lafayette Police Department and Buy the Book Coffeehouse has implemented a program called “Coffee with a Cop”. Officers will visit Buy the Book every third Wednesday of the month at 10am to listen to comments or suggestions and to answer questions from the public.

While this program is not new in the field of law enforcement, it is new to LPD and the Lafayette area.  By choosing a location in a relaxed atmosphere, officers hope to encourage positive interaction with the community and to be available to answer questions residents may have about law enforcement topics.

Lt. Brad Bishop will be available for the third meeting Wednesday, May 16th at 10am. The public is invited and encouraged to attend for questions, comments and conversation.
